Anton Hasler is part of this generation of artists who assiduously practices the pictorial and graphic act in all awareness of his gesture and his multiple formal and historical layers which go back to Lascaux. And yet, he does not feel linked, neither by a loyalty pact, nor by a "fished" of modern art, even less by the limits imposed by such or such medium.
